Yes God is good, BUT…

Yes God is good, BUT…

If there is one unshakable foundation that our life has to be  based on, it is this: God is good. The coming of the Lord is very near and if this truth  is not established in your life, you will fall like a pack of cards blaming the very One who was on your side all along.
God is good, all the time – We say it. We repeat it. Yet in our hearts, are we fully convinced?
Today morning I was in tears when I heard the Holy Sprit say, “You know Kim, it is more difficult for the Christians to believe that I am good.”
Is it because we know too much?
Is it because we have been in the church for too long?
Is it because we are too familiar with the Scriptures?
God Is Good
It is easy to agree mentally that God is good, yet when we find ourselves standing exposed to sudden storms in life, we reason,

Yes I know God is good, yet why this?
Yes I trust Him, but why did He allow this?
Yes God is there, but He could have saved this situation .

But Prophet Habakkuk’s language was different. His words were a hymn of faith. He said
Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Habakkuk 3:7,18

Though the world and everything around me may fail, yet Jesus is the author of good and ONLY good comes from Him.

Job, at one point in his life suffered the loss of all his possessions and children. In the Bible, there was one more person who suffered in almost a similar manner – lost the same number of children, lost the same amount of possessions.

That was Job’s wife.

When a situation arose that was beyond their understanding and control, both their verbal responses were an overflow of the belief of their heart .

While Job said, “Blessed be His name”, his wife said “Curse God and die.”

God is good. Let’s not blame Him for our failures. Let’s not doubt His goodness in the light of bad experiences around us.  Instead let’s know Him better. Let’s understand His ways better. Let’s hear His heart better.

Why God Hates Pity?(12 min Video)

Why God Hates Pity?(12 min Video)

Most of us like to roll in self-pity as we cry and grumble about things around us. But God hates it. This below 12 min video will tell you why. Also let’s hear a beautiful story about a man who had every reason to be pitiful, but instead he chose something different, and what happens to him.

Don’t forget to share this video with young girls or daughters or sisters that you think may benefit.

SG Take Off Launched +The Onion Vision

Pornography,notoaddiction

Recently in my prayer time God spoke to me saying, “Raise an army of girls”, and I sensed an unexplainable urgency in my spirit towards this. I knew I had to take a step of faith and start Soar Girls Take Off.

It was also during this time that I personally went through a season of stretching where I felt everything that I was holding on to slipping away like sand from my hands. It was a season where my faith was being stretched and I realised that all I needed was my God – all I was entitled to was my friendship with my God; everything else is going to fade way.

I fought many hidden battles along the way, but in my vulnerabilities, God made me all the more determined to walk in obedience to what He was telling me to do.

So, on October 1 we launched our first ever Take Off meet on Zoom!!

I saw an Onion in a Vision

As I was praying for Soar Girls Take Off, God showed me a vision that I want to share with you.

I saw a beautiful pink onion without its outer skin. And then slowly, this onion began to start peeling layer by layer. It was a beautiful sight and it almost looked like a flower that was unfolding. Also, as this was happening, I could see drops of tears falling.

God was telling me that this is what will happen in the SGTO meets.

I was like, “OK God, I understand what you are saying. That onion represents all of us who are going to be a part of these meets, and I see that you will uncover our hearts peel by peel, exposing our deep and hidden cores and heal it. And in the process our tears will come.”

And God said, “NO….that’s not what I am trying to say. That onion represents my heart for my precious daughters. It is MY heart and MY love for my daughters that will be uncovered layer by layer. And those are My tears.”

Wow, am so baffled by the love of God for each one of us!

That’s our God who pursues us first and keeps pursuing us in His love. And this is what we learnt in our first take off meet from the story of Hosea and Gomer. Hosea selflessly kept loving an unfaithful wife, who kept betraying him, to the extent that he even paid a price to bring her back. Hosea represents our Jesus whose love for us is reckless.

Please would encourage you to not miss these meets. Our next SG Take Off meet will happen on October 15, 6:30 in the morning at IST time.

The One Friend You Cannot Afford to Miss

The One Friend You Cannot Afford to Miss

Friends that you need in life

In your friends circle, I am sure you will find different kinds of friends.

There would be a friend who will know all your weaknesses and secrets.

There would be a friend who will have similar hobbies and likes like yours.

Then there are office friends, college friends and school friends.

But there is one kind of friend that you cannot afford to miss. “I got a word for you” friend. Because this kind of friend will come to you at a time when you have a need (and probably nobody knows), and say, ” I got a word for you”.

Cherish this friend!

Because this is a friend who is praying for you, and talking to God about you. She will bring a Word from the Lord for you, which will be able to sustain you in the season you are going through.

In the Old testament we read about Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who were always together in standing for the Lord in every challenge that they faced. When the king of Babylon had a dream and no one could interpret, he issued a decree to put all the wise men to death. When Daniel comes to know about this, he returns to his house and explains the matter to his friends. He urges them to pray for it and during the night the mystery gets revealed to Daniel in a vision. (Daniel 2:17-19).

After Daniel interprets the dream for the king and he is bestowed with honour and royal goodies, he gives the king a recommendation to make his friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in charge of all the affairs of the province of Babylon.(Daniel 2:49)

This is such a beautiful example of godly friendships.

A friend who runs behind Jesus

I am not talking about someone who fakes religion, but who genuinely loves Jesus and is walking with Him, like Daniel and his friends.

This friend will encourage you to run behind Jesus. This friend will not put your fire off, but stir you up to walk in God’s ways.

This friend will not be scared to confront you when you are going wrong, like Prophet Nathan who confronted his friend David when David committed adultery and was going in the wrong direction.

Do you have a friend like this? If yes, how about sharing this post to that friend and thanking her. If not, you become that kind of friend for someone, and God will bring one for you 🙂

Your God is a Shame-Breaker!

Your God is a Shame-Breaker!

Shame Breaker
Struggling with shame? Something you did or some incident involving you that brings lot of shame and condemnation to your mind? Months and years have passed yet you can’t seem to get over it? Here are 5 truths from God’s Word, that we pray, will set you free.

1.  His love> Your mistake

There is no wrong you can ever do that can outmatch the love and grace that Jesus offers to cover it. Nothing can separate you from His love! (Rom 8:39)

2.  There is hope

God never condemns, He only convicts. For God did not send his Son into the world to
condemn the world (John 3:17). Condemnation brings disgrace, conviction brings hope.

3.  Forgive yourself

Forgive yourself. Your mistakes don’t define you. If God can forgive you, there is no reason for you to withhold that forgiveness from yourself. (1 John 1:9). Also forgive the person that may have caused you the shame.

4.  There is no evidence

When you completely surrender your life to Jesus, He offers you a clean slate. His blood justifies and sanctifies you. Sanctified means you are fully washed His blood. There is no evidence left! You are now hidden in Him

5.  Let go of your past

Your past is forgiven. Let go! and let go of the people who remind you of your past. Know that God is greater than your past, no matter how bad or unrepairable it looks.

Your God is a shame breaker!

Only 4 women are mentioned in the genealogy of Jesus and all 4 had a shameful past. Rahab – a sex worker, Tamar – an ‘immoral’ woman, Bathsheba – an adulteress, Ruth- A Moabite. But God used these broken vessels and turned their destinies around. When you surrender your life to Him, He can use your brokenness and make it glorious. You serve a God who is a shame breaker!

But the Lord God helps me; therefore I have not been disgraced; therefore I have set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame. (Isaiah 50:7)
