How has your prayer life been lately? Have you been praying daily, or has it been a while since you last prayed? If it’s been some time, I have good news for you today — it’s never too late to start praying!r
Please don’t condemn yourself if you haven’t been consistent in prayer. The Word of God csays “For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again…” (Proverbs 24:16). It’s okay if you missed many days, but today is the day to get back to it. His mercies are new every morning.
Prayer Isn’t Performance, It’s Relationship
Prayer is an intimate relationship where we commune to God. Sometimes we may feel like we run out of words. Other times, we come with a long list of needs. But here’s the truth — prayer isn’t about performance or perfection. It’s not a checklist or a ritual.
Instead, it’s a daily conversation, sometimes full of words, sometimes filled with silence. But always sacred. Always fully depending on Him, His Word, His voice, and His guidance.
Prioritize daily conversations with God, not just speaking, but listening too. Let your relationship with Him come before everything else.
Daniel: A Life Set Apart by Prayer
Daniel had ungodly people around him and he served a king who did not believe in the one true God. Daniel was also a leader and he was definitely busy. Yet, he was found praying not once but three times a day. Which means, he intentionally set himself apart.
The Word of God says in Daniel 6:10-11, “Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before. Then these men went as a group and found Daniel praying and asking God for help.”
Imagine, Daniel heard the king’s decree that if he prayed he would be killed for it, yet he did not miss prayer! How often do we delay prayer because of work, distractions, or excuses?
If death didn’t stop Daniel from praying, what’s stopping us?
Start Now, God Is Just a Whisper Away
You don’t have to pray long, complicated prayers.
Here’s a simple way to begin:
“Hello, Daddy God. It’s been a while since I said hi…”
or
“Hey Dad… thank You for never leaving my side. You’re so good.”
That’s it. He’s waiting to hear from you; no pressure, just love.
