Bringing Prophecies Over Your Life to Pass

Bringing Prophecies Over Your Life to Pass

We all have received certain promises or prophetic words, through a man or woman of God, over us at some point in life. Yet how many of them have come to pass? Pages of our books are getting filled with prophecies over our lives, yet few have come to fulfilment.

Even if no one has prophesied over us, we still have the Word of God, which is full of promises for us. Yet how many of those promises are truly manifesting in our lives?

Not many, isn’t it?

Then there is that statement we often heard over the years, “In God’s time, it will come to pass.” Can I tell you that is not entirely true?

So, how are promises brought to fulfilment?

Find Your Instruction

With every promise, there is an instruction attached. Finding the instruction attached to your promise is the way to bring your promises to pass. As you meditate, you will find this principle all over the Word of God.

Now, Israel, hear the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land the Lord, the God of your ancestors, is giving you.Deuteronomy 4:1

Observe therefore all the commands I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to go in and take over the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess, and so that you may live long in the land the Lord swore to your ancestors to give to them and their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey.”Deuteronomy 11:8

“Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”Joshua 1:7-8

If you can find and obey the instructions attached to your promises, you will quickly see your promises come to pass.

What are some prophecies you are waiting to see fulfilled in your life? You will not have to wait for long, but may the Holy Spirit give you understanding on how to bring it to pass.

Doesn’t My Daddy Love Me

Doesn’t My Daddy Love Me

I know of many daughters who remember the unkind words spoken to them by their fathers. As a girl child, you must have always felt that your father favoured the boys in the family and that they got more opportunities than you did. You must have often heard your father say these words, “No, you are just a girl; you can’t do this or that”, for the little desires you may have had as a child.

So you often asked yourself, “Doesn’t my daddy love me?”.

You spent years thinking you are not good enough or that you are the problem in the family. No matter the reason, the pain was real.

If you relate to this, can I show you from the life of the great king David how he must have felt the same way and asked the same question?

My father

Rejected by earthly fathers

David came in connection with three fathers before he became king:

1/ David’s earthly father, Jesse, decided not to take David along when the greatest Prophet of the time, Samuel, invited the family to sacrifice.

And he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.1 Samuel 16:5

When Samuel asks Jesse if he has only seven sons, Jesse says he has one more, but he does not fit the bill.

And Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel. And Samuel said to Jesse, “The Lord has not chosen these.” Then Samuel said to Jesse, “Are all your sons here?” And he said, “There remains yet the youngest, but behold, he is keeping the sheep.”1 Samuel 16:10-11

David’s father, Jesse, did not think his youngest son had anything to offer and favoured his other sons.

2/ King Saul called David his son on many occasions (1 Samuel 26:17, 1 Samuel 26:25). But Saul was jealous of David and hated him so much that he wanted to kill him.
And from that time on Saul kept a jealous eye on David”.1 Samuel 18:9

3/ When David ran away from Saul to the Philistine leader Achish, he was impressed with David and decided to make him his chief guardian. However, Achish only wanted to manipulate David to glorify himself.

And Achish trusted David, thinking, “He has made himself an utter stench to his people Israel; therefore he shall always be my servant.1 Samuel 27:12

David’s earthly father, Jesse, did not think much of him, his father-in-law Saul hated him, and his father-like protection, Achish, manipulated him.

David must have asked, “Doesn’t My Daddy Love Me?”

Knowing who you are and Whose you are

But, David changed the course of his thinking. He called the Almighty God his Father.

You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.”Psalms 89:26

I believe, in his pain and rejection, David encountered the Almighty God, and the same God reveals to him as a Father who loves him unconditionally, considers him worthy, and has good plans for him.

Even if your earthly fathers have rejected you or don’t consider you as worthy as the sons, know that the Almighty God who made the heavens and earth calls you

I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”
2 Corinthians 6:18

As you read this, if you are someone who who has often asked yourself “Doesn’t My Daddy Love Me?”,  I pray you experience the love of the Heavenly Father holding you in His   calling you “My Daughter” – allow these words to go deep in your heart and heal your pain.

I encourage you to wake up every day having this picture in your heart. Look at the mirror and call yourself “Daughter of the Most High God” and soon you will see that the pain you felt once has no hold on you anymore. As you spend more time with your   your heart will forgive your earthly father and sense love, peace and rest.

I pray that each of us will grow in the revelation of what it means to be a daughter of God. With confidence, we can trust in these words – He calls me daughter!

Throwing Fruits at the Face of Evil 🍊

Throwing Fruits at the Face of Evil 🍊

Have you ever experienced a bad fallout where you responded to a situation negatively, and a minute later, you regretted it? Or you reacted as badly as the person who made you angry?

Well, I’ve had the experience. But this time, before I could react, God helped me.

When I was discussing a situation with my HR at my previous job, I discovered that he was lying. I was about to say something to him in my anger, but at that precise moment, God gave me a vision. He showed me a vision of throwing oranges at my HR.

I laughed and asked God what this vision was about. I want you to throw the fruit, He said. Then God led me to this scripture:

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”
Galatians 5:22-23

throwthatfruit

I said, “God, but this man is wicked. He needs an earful.” Then God explained further in Matthew 12:33-37

Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

That man spoke out of abundance in his heart. But God didn’t want me to react as that man; instead, he wanted me to bear fruits of love, gentleness, peace, forbearance, and kindness.

In Matthew 23:43, God says, “Therefore I say to you, the Kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.

I also realised that there is an account to be given for every word spoken. If the words in me aren’t good, guess what, the Bible says, the tree isn’t good.

Getting to the Roots

I have seen that if the tree is in good soil, it bears good fruit. I have also seen that if the roots are deep and strong in the soil, they bear good fruit. Also, the less weeds there are, the better the tree. The bad company you keep or the negative thoughts you entertain are the weeds.

Our lives must be deeply rooted in the Bible in order for us to bear good fruit. God’s Word is where we receive correction and guidance on how we must live as children of God in this wicked world. This is what will bring true transformation in our lives.

“Already you are clean because of the Word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.” John 15:3-4 ESV

If you struggle with controlling your temper or your emotions, abiding in God’s Word is the way to overcome it. Be intentional every day. God is your source, your foundation, and everything that keeps you alive.

As you read this, He is right now standing close to you. He is watching over you. May you bear fruit 30, 60 and 100 fold.

How To Save Yourself From Deception

How To Save Yourself From Deception

Have you ever had thoughts of condemnation, giving up, hopelessness or any limiting thought and felt as though it was your own heart or that God was speaking?

Recently I heard a Prophet say this during his sermon, “The enemy plays reverse psychology; it is almost as if he is saying the truth.”

The enemy began this in the garden of Eden. Eve was so convinced by what the devil told her that she ended up eating the forbidden fruit. He used the same strategy on Jesus after His 40 days of fasting and being in the wilderness. He used verses from God’s Word to tempt Jesus.

Walking with God

The devil is a deceiver. Even now, he uses the same strategy against the children of God. He speaks to our minds in the form of thoughts that may sound either like our own voice or as though God is speaking.

This is where we need the spirit of discernment.

The strategy to save yourself from deception

As I was pondering on this, I began to pray and ask God to help me discern whose voice I’m hearing.

And as I was praying, I sensed the Lord say, “Walk with Me”.

Think of the closest person in your life. It could be your parents, sibling, friend, spouse or anyone. Imagine someone coming and pretending to be that person who is close to you. Wouldn’t you quickly discern that this is not that person?

That is what happens when you daily walk with God. The more you walk with Him, the more you know Him. The more you know Him, and the closer you get to Him, the harder it becomes for the enemy to deceive you.

So, what does it mean to walk with God?

Walking with God = Walking with the Word

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
John 1:1

It means you read the Word like never before. Now you don’t read it for the sake of it or because religion tells you to, but you read it to know your God. It also means you surrender to the Word and walk by the Word to become one with the Word.

When this becomes your lifestyle, no matter how disguised the enemy comes, you will not be fooled because you know the voice of your God.

I pray over you today that you will not fall for any deception of the enemy, but will know the voice of God.

Begin your walk with God today.
