King Saul was anointed to become the king of Israel. In 1 Samuel 9:20, Samuel says to Saul, “And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on you and on all your father’s house?”.

Saul was the first king of Israel but he failed miserably, because the picture in his heart was of a loser. So even though his title changed, and he became king, he could not succeed in life because his picture inside was that of a failure.

It doesn’t matter how much you have studied, it is not your knowledge, but the picture that you are carrying in your heart about yourself that’s going to drive you.

Let Go

As a child of God, you have an edge over others in your generation.

God has filled you with His Holy Spirit.

You have the mind of Christ; you have His thoughts.

But, if you have the wrong picture of yourself in your heart, it doesn’t matter what skills you have.

Because, that’s how the Kingdom of God functions: as you are thinking in your heart so will you be. (Proverbs 23:7)
Even if you have struggled in your studies, or messed up in your school or college, as soon as you become a child of God, when you have Jesus in your heart, your picture inside has to change.

Because all the pictures from your past will come and tell you, “Hey! this is who you are.”

But you need to look into the mirror of the Word of God, and see yourself the way God sees you.
It doesn’t matter how miserably you failed in the past, it doesn’t matter whether your bank account has got finances or not, if you see yourself as a king, a king shall you be.

If you see yourself as a success, a success shall you be. If you see yourself as the CEO of a company, a CEO shall you be. If you see yourself as a revivalist, a revivalist is what you are going to be.

And, how do you change the picture on the inside? By renewing your mind with God’s Word. You need to keep walking with God and hearing Him. You cannot survive on a one-time encounter with God.

In 2026 make sure that you carry the right picture inside of you, that matches how God sees you and what He says in His Word.

Shalom.
