Work can be challenging, stressful, and overwhelming. But have you tried God at work? He makes work more pleasurable. The more you surrender, seek Him, and ask His help, the easier it gets, and you will begin to find favour in the most unlikely places.

One day, my mother-in-law, Sophy, taught me something. She said, “Before you start work, just surrender your work and the laptop to God and pray. That’s how you start work.” That touched me because many times, I rush to switch on the laptop and start working without acknowledging God. Proverbs 3:6 says, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.” God loves your dependency on Him; when you depend on Him, you will see Him come through at work.

Also, my spiritual mother, Author Kim, often emphasizes the power of what we believe and declare. God used words to create the world (Genesis 1) and taught us to speak to mountains to move even with faith just as big as a mustard seed. (Matthew 17:20-21)

Declarations

I love this promise of God in Psalms 3:3, which says, “But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.” Isn’t our God amazing that He wants our heads held high?

Below, I’m sharing some powerful declarations that you can speak over your workplace, today and every day. As you believe and declare these, you will no longer be burdened by your work, but you will begin to see blessings in your work life.
