Are You Settling for the Second Best?

Are You Settling for the Second Best?

Everyone’s getting engaged, married or having children and wondering when it will be your turn? Or are you just compromising and settling for a boy just because the clock is ticking even though you know he’s not the right one?

Girls, I believe the Lord wants you to hear this today.

marriage, single

Recently, I came across a reel of a very popular Bollywood actress where she was sharing how her father, when he was alive, gave her an eight carat diamond ring and told her that any boy that she decides to spend her life with has to beat that standard.

Immediately, the Holy Spirit spoke to me saying, her father gave her a diamond ring and do you see what your Father in heaven gave you? When God had to show His love, He didn’t give you diamonds or gold or silver but He gave His only begotten Son to die for you.

Girls, this is what you are worth..

And take a moment to picture this – when Jesus had to die it wasn’t with His arms straight or tied to His side, but rather with His arms open wide, pierced and nailed to the cross. And He did that while you and I were still sinners. (Romans 5:8)

That’s the worth your Father has placed on you. Can any boy beat that standard?

No man will ever be able to! Does that mean you shouldn’t get married? Certainly not! But the point that I’m trying to make is, don’t get swayed by the so called standards and timelines of this world. Don’t settle for the second best just because you feel you won’t get anyone better. Know your worth!

If you desire to get married, tell your Father in heaven and ask Him to prepare you in this season.

Trust your God. Trust His timing. He’s too faithful. He’s too good. And this God who gave you His son, will He not also graciously and lovingly give you what you desire? (Romans 8:32)

Only keep your eyes fixed on Him.

Here’s a song that Author Kim recently shared on telegram that has blessed me and every time I hear it, I can’t stop weeping at this line.

He has done great things.

Arms open wide, Lamb crucified.

Worthy is He

I hope it blesses you and reminds you of the good good Father you serve and the worth He has placed on you.

(Song – He has done great things)

XOXO

Are Wrong Conversations Leading You To Unwanted Problems

Are Wrong Conversations Leading You To Unwanted Problems

Have you ever been in a situation where a colleague or friend starts sharing and pouring out their problems to you and before you know it you are involved in their problems?

If the enemy cannot have access into your life, he will cause you to enter into someone else’s battle.

Many times we are entangled in the wrong battles as a result of entertaining conversations that we should never have engaged in.

battles, wrong conersations

I’m not saying we shouldn’t help anyone or be rude when someone shares their problem. But know what boundaries you need to keep. Ask God for wisdom on how to help someone who approaches you with their problems.

Jesus, the Son of God, was called to be the Savior of the whole world. But, when He was sent into the world He was sent only to the children of Israel.

“He answered, ‘I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.’” (Matt 15:24)

There were many neighbouring nations where He could have gone and shown mighty miracles and wonders. And maybe those nations would have even accepted and believed Jesus more than Israel.

But, He was clear about what He was sent for. He stayed within His mission, and still impacted the whole world.

If the Holy Spirit prompts you to not enter into a conversation, avoid that conversation. If you sense a conversation is going in the wrong direction, learn to cut it off. That way you will save yourself from entering into unnecessary battles.

Pick The Right Battles

Girls, it’s sometimes so easy to sit, hear and get involved in the battles of others; to the point that now their battle becomes your battle. Then you see yourselves going through unnecessary emotions and struggles and wonder how you even reached that state.

Author Kim D’Souza once said, “To whom you give your ear to, you give your heart to.”

Guard your heart with all diligence for out of it flows the issues of life (Prov 4:23). When you give your ear to the wrong conversation, you are not just hearing them, but you are allowing certain information to enter into your heart.

“What you hear is a seed that can bring either faith or fear.” – Author Kim D’Souza

The wrong information that you hear can cause feelings of doubt and fear to enter your heart and slow your walk with God. So, learn to guard your heart. Learn to stop a conversation or deviate a negative conversation by speaking life and speaking the truth.

This season, guard your conversations.

What’s your ability to multiply?

What’s your ability to multiply?

What’s your ability to multiply? Do you know your ability to multiply is directly related to how much you know your God.

In the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30, The talents were given to each of the three servants, accordingly to their ability. In other words, how much they knew the master and his nature.

master,faith,multily,talent

The servant who received one talent couldn’t multiply what he got because of his limited knowledge of God.

His understanding of the nature of God was warped. He assumed God to be harsh, demanding and unjust.

This understanding caused great fear in him, and so he said, “I was afraid and I hid.”

On the other hand, the servant who received 5 talents or say 5000 USD invested all of it. Now this was such a big risk, yet he was not afraid because there was something about the nature of His master (God) that he knew.

His ability to multiply was not out of fear but love and assurance in the one who had trusted him with the gift.

Similarly, look at the prodigal son, who lost all that was assigned to Him. He didn’t even have a single talent left with him, unlike the servant mentioned In Matthew 25 parable. Yet, he knew about His father’s nature and the knowledge of his father’s love brought him back. He understood that even though he was not worthy as a son, he was loved, because ‘love’ was the nature of his father. And when he returned, he received much more than what he expected even in his wildest of dreams.

Yes, that’s how good our God is!

The Bible says that Grace is multiplied through the knowledge of God and of Jesus ( 2 Peter 1:2).

The grace to multiply is also multiplied through the knowledge of Him-the more you know Him, the more you can shall multiply what He has given you.

May we know Him more, to have a successful impact through our life.

3 Steps to Know If You Really Have Faith

3 Steps to Know If You Really Have Faith

Many times when we are asked if we have faith, we are quick to say yes. Because that’s how we have been trained by religion. But how do we know if we really have faith? Here are 3 steps to know if you really have faith and at what level your faith is functioning in.

real faith,religion,faith,say it

Step 1: You believe in your heart

Many people say they believe, but they do not really believe in their heart. This is the level at which many people stop and this is not full faith. Think about it, when someone asks you if you believe Jesus can heal you, you will say yes. Because that’s how we have been taught in the church. But that is only step number one. So how do we know if we really have faith? That leads us to step number two.

Step 2: You say it

The Bible says in Luke 6:45, “For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks”. How much are you saying what you believe? If you say you believe yet you are unable to praise Him, it shows that your revelation is incomplete. It shows that you are still in step number one.You believe, but it has not come into action. And primarily, it has to come into action by what you say. It’s not about what you say in church, because in the church there’s an environment of faith. It’s really about what you say outside of the church that matters. What happens when you go out, when there’s no music or worship team to cheer you and you are all alone? What are you saying, then? You need to become strong in faith, you need to believe and start saying what you believe – that’s your key!

Step 3: You confess before men

The third step is when the Word or revelation has now become your portion. Your faith is complete when you begin to confess what you believe before men.“Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 10:32)Many of us are believers and we say we believe, yet our mouths are shut before men. Do your colleagues know that you are a Christian? Do your neigbours know that you are a believer? Or are you still scared? Are you still not convinced? The Kingdom of God is at hand. Can you look at your life and analyse it on the basis of these steps and see if what you have is really faith?Remember, without faith it is impossible to please God.XOXOAuthor Kim D’souza

Choosing to Walk With God—Here’s Why It’s Worth It

Choosing to Walk With God—Here’s Why It’s Worth It

Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in Jesus because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” So when the Samaritans came to Him, they asked Him to stay with them, and He stayed two days.” (John 4:39-40)

When the Samaritan woman had an encounter with Jesus, she went and told about Jesus to her whole town and brought them to Him. And when they came to Him, they urged Him to stay with them. And He stayed with them for two days.

For two days Samaria had the Living, Miracle working God in their midst. They had an opportunity that not many other people had.

Walk with God

When Embracing Turns Into Rejection

Later on, there came a point in the life of Jesus where He had to go to Jerusalem because the time had come for Jesus to lay His life down on the cross. And, He was flint focused towards fulfilling the purpose of His life.  The Bible says His face was set towards Jerusalem.

But in order for Jesus to reach Jerusalem He had to pass through Samaria. So, Jesus sent His disciples ahead of Him to a village of Samaria to make preparations for Him.

But this time the same Samaritans who once refused to let Jesus go, now refused to receive Him because His face was set for Jerusalem.

“Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem,  and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him. But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem.” (Luke 9:51-53)

The first time the Samaritans encountered Jesus, they saw Him performing miracles and meeting their needs. But this time, they realized He was simply passing through. His destination, Jerusalem, was itself a point of deep contention as they considered Jerusalem not a place of worship. This stirred up their bitterness even more.

Please God or Man?

Child of God, when you make a decision to walk in your call and accomplish the purpose of God on your life, not many will accept or receive you. If they rejected Jesus who gave them the Living Word and did miracles among them, they will do it to you too.

Yet you need to live a life not to please man, but to please God. When you are facing situations or people in your family who do not accept your walk with God, don’t go to fight them. Instead you keep growing! That’s your key!

People will disappoint you, so it is better to serve God’s purpose in your generation. Keep upgrading yourself everyday because everything around you is upgrading itself. Keep growing in your identity and the right people will come chasing you. Your bosses will come chasing after you. Favour will come chasing after you.

When you keep growing the very people who are fighting you today will see your light shine bright and come to you.
