You’re NOT Beautiful!

You’re NOT Beautiful!

You’re not beautiful! You’re so dark! You look like an ‘ugly duckling’! She looks so much better than you! Why do you have that spot on your face? Look at those dark circles, don’t you sleep? You’re so fat, lose some weight! You’re so skinny, don’t you eat!

Heard these lines spoken over you before? I’m sure you have. And not just heard but I’m sure you’ve also accepted and believed some of these words. And guess what? You’re now living with it and you don’t even know it.

Let me tell you, these words are LIES STRAIGHT FROM THE PIT OF HELL.

This is not your identity!

For the word of God says in Psalm 139:13,14 (emphasis mine)

For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.

Beautiful

Hmm… Very easy to quote this Scripture, isn’t it?

And if you’ve been in the church long enough, I’m sure you even know it by heart but the truth is not many of us truly understand this Scripture and hence cannot come to terms and believe that our Father in heaven actually speaks this over us.

Before we go on to understand this scripture let me share this with you. All my life I had a problem with the way I looked. I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror and more often complained of how if only I was a little fair, or if I was a little curvy, or if only this or that was slightly different wouldn’t it be so much better? And remember, all this while I knew this verse by heart, yet believed these lies.

And why was that?

Because of ‘words’!

Well, the enemy is a master at planting tares. All he has to do is slip one lie in your ear and that lie keeps piling up. Years down the line you’re putting loads of brightening creams to change your look and you don’t even know that the root actually began when some aunty came and said “why are you so dark, who will marry you” or when your neighbor came and called you a raccoon because you had dark circles.

But God wants to set you free today!

One day while I was in the house of God with my spiritual parents, my father called out my name and said to me “Do you know you’re beautiful?”

When I heard those words I couldn’t help but start weeping. He went on to say “This is what God told me to tell you, it’s not so much about the outward beauty as much as the inner”. When he spoke that over me, I could see all the words that people spoke over me in all these years that I was holding deep down break and fall to the ground and I saw the love of the Father like never before.

Knowing things in the head is not enough.

Girls, just knowing things in the head is not enough!

So often we read that verse and think “God knit my body” and back of our minds we think, “couldn’t He have done a better job?” But the truth is, God, knit your spirit and made you perfect, in glory as His original plan. As my spiritual father says, “the earth suit (physical body) that you see is what your parents gave you, but your spirit, ah, that’s made of the DNA of God.”

And therefore, when God sees your spirit He says, “ahh, My beloved daughter, you’re fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Now, can you see what this verse truly means and how God speaks this over you?

You know, from the day I understood this, I can look up boldly, the love of the Father secures my heart. And even if the enemy uses people to speak words over me, I can still stand up boldly and say “Shehh, My Father says I’m beautiful, you shut up!”

Hey, you may feel that you’re just reading these words from a blog post, but I urge you to look in the spirit. Right now, God is calling out your name and speaking this over you!

I pray as you see this in the spirit and receive understanding, let all the words that people have spoken over you break and fall to the ground in Jesus’ name. I pray that right now the love of God will secure your heart and you will be able to refute every lie of the enemy that says ‘You’re not beautiful.

Rinnah Poshe

How Your Next 3 Months Can Change Everything In Your Life

How Your Next 3 Months Can Change Everything In Your Life

Hey girls, this word comes out of lot of desperation and he who has ears let him hear. Before 2022 ends, can I invite you to surrender your three months October, November and December to Jesus? In this season, would you partner with the Holy Spirit to usher yourself into the move of God?

Here are two things the Lord has been impressing upon my heart:

First, Seek God in “Daily”

For 3 months when Obed Edom, a non-Israelite (2 Sam 6:11,12) hosted God in his house, what never happened in his lifetime happened – ALL that belonged to him was blessed. All includes his career, his job, his relationships, his marriage, his children- Everything! In fact he was so blessed in every area of his life that this news spread and reached David’s ears, the then king of Israel.

When the disciples met daily in prayer, a suddenly of the Holy Spirit came (Acts 2:2),  your daily is the key to “suddenly” things shifting in your life.

Daily Prayer 2

These 3 months can we encourage you to pray in tongues for a minimum of half an hour for revival, or a move of God in your life? It’s not about the months or duration, but our consistency and commitment in seeking God’s face daily. You see, it is easy to walk when there is no commitment, but commitment involves a cost. And God is waiting to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are fully committed to Him (2 Chr 16:9).

What you do now doesn’t affect the future.

That’s a lie.

“I’m only 16. I don’t need to worry about _____ yet.”

“I’ll settle down when I get older / get a job.”

“I won’t have such kind of freedom later, so I might as well enjoy it now.”

What you choose to do now will either form habits you have to break in the future or habits that are helpful to you. Galatians 6:7 says, “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.” I don’t think there is any more important habit you could possibly form than getting to know and seek God. Every aspect of your life, short term and long term, will be affected by this ONE habit.

Just as addictions are formed out of habits and habits are birthed out of “dailies”, your daily time alone with the Lord will transform your life first, and soon it will overflow into every area of your life.

Second, Take limits off God

It’s not God who is withholding a revival in your life, but it’s we limiting a revival seeking God with our very own words (Pro 18:21).

“Nothing will come out of my life” “I am getting into depression” I can never be good at this” – 3 months, intentionally change your language.

Trust me what years of trying to change, breaking your addictions, and counselling sessions has not done, your surrender in this season to God will do.

Remember half an hour praying in tongues daily for revival in your life. As you do something you have never done before, your eyes will see something that you have never seen before!

God’s Shut Doors Can Mean Life!

God’s Shut Doors Can Mean Life!

In the book of Genesis, we read an account of Noah, a righteous man who walked with God (Genesis 6:9).

A day came in Noah’s life when God shut him in (Genesis 7:16). New Living Translation of the Bible says: The LORD closed the door behind them.

This was when Noah, his family members, and all living creatures had entered the ark.

shutdoors

When God shut the door behind Noah, the rain hadn’t started pouring yet. Am sure Noah must have wondered:

What next?

But it was that shut door that set the difference between destruction and safety, between storm and peace, between despair and hope and between life and death.

If you are reading this and if at this moment you are standing against a slammed door in your life, be encouraged for God’s shut doors can mean life.

Would you take a moment and praise God for that shut door of your opportunity, dream or desire? Allow me to repeat- God’s shut doors can mean life!

God’s Plan to Save, Protect and Flourish YOU!

God’s Plan to Save, Protect and Flourish YOU!

Some months back, I found a rose plant that was left by someone beneath my building. It was drying up and almost dead. I was going to simply pass by it, but I heard the voice of the Holy Spirit asking me to save this plant. I heard Him say, “Take it; I will put life in it and make it beautiful.”

So I took it home and started taking caring of this rose plant intensely. I began to water it daily, cut off all dead branches, till the soil etc. However, five months passed and there was no change – no new leaves, no growth at all. The plant still looked weak and almost dead.

I was discouraged and took this matter to the Lord. Then the Lord gave me a strategy. I heard God’s voice instructing me to make a certain preparation which was to be used twice a month on the plant. I simply obeyed. Three months passed and the results were amazing. The branches became full of beautiful green leaves with no sign of worms or infection. The plant started budding and soon the first rose blossomed! Here is how it looks now…

Gods Plan for you

I believe this plant had a supernatural growth in the presence of my God who gives life, and not just life, but life in abundance.

As the Psalmist says in Psalms 121:1-3 TPT

I look up to the mountains and hills, longing for God’s help. But then I realize that our true help and protection is only from the Lord, our Creator who made the heavens and the earth. He will guard and guide me, never letting me stumble or fall. God is my keeper; he will never forget nor ignore me.

Put your Hope in God

How God gave us hope

Here’s what I realized through all this – We were once weak and almost left dead like that plant with little or no hope. And when everyone else gave up on us, Jesus walked into our situation and breathed life into us and cleaned us up from the roots. He renewed our strength that we may fly like eagles. He clothed us with honor and wrapped us in His protection. And He made us grow and even added His fragrance on us.

This is our God! So don’t lose hope, for God’s plan is to save, protect and flourish you!

Dear sister, may this post encourage you!

No matter how dead your situation may look right now, I encourage you to give your God a chance. For God’s plan is for good and not evil, to give you hope and a future. And I assure you, you will watch Him breathe life into your situation as you trust and hope in Him. If He could care for a small road –side plant, how much more would He care for you!
