Do these 3 Things Well to Attract King’s Favour

Do these 3 Things Well to Attract King’s Favour

Hello precious Soar Girls, through this post, I want to share with you three things that you can do, and do WELL to attract the favour of God upon your life like no other.

Remember a moment of God’s favour can bring a lifetime of untold blessings upon your life, just like it did for Esther.

Esther was an orphan and was brought up by her uncle Mordecai. As a young maiden, God opened the door for her to get access into King Ahasuerus’ palace. From being lost to being elevated to the king’s palace – isn’t that our journey as well? God, in His mercy cleansed us from our unrighteousness and made us sit in high places with Him.

But Esther didn’t stop here. She further did something that made the king choose her over every other girl to reign with him as queen.

Esther

Here are the 3 things she did well:

1/ Honour well

Esther, along with other young girls, was taken into the king’s palace into the care of Hegai, the custodian of the women.
But the Bible says, Esther pleased Hegai!
Now the young woman pleased him, and she obtained his favor; so he readily gave beauty preparations to her, besides her allowance (Esther 2:9).
I believe the way Esther pleased Hegai was through her honour of him. And, your honour for a person is evident when you listen to that person!
Honour God, by obeying His Word. Honour Him by your gratitude. Honour the Holy Spirit with your surrender, and you will see how God’s favour will be drawn towards you.

2/ Prepare well

Each young woman’s turn came to meet the king after 12 months of preparation, six months with the oil of myrrh and six months with perfumes and preparations for beautifying women (Esther 2:12).
Thus prepared, each young woman went to the king (Esther 2:13).
How prepared are we when we enter the presence of God? Do we come expecting? Do we smell of faith? How do we come before Him during our corporate time of worship as a church? Do we reach early in the house of God? Are we dressed with a garment of praise? Do we come with a testimony?
Never take your King for granted. Your preparation is the key to your elevation!

3/ Give well

Every young woman who went to meet the king was given whatever she desires to take with her from the women’s quarters to the king’s palace (Esther 2:13)
When it was Esther’s turn to be taken into the royal palace, she took nothing but what the King liked, as advised by Hegai.
Esther gave the king what he liked and not what she liked.
Her giving pleased the king!
Don’t go empty handed before God. Don’t give Him out of a religious ritual, but may your giving to God be out of revelation. Give Him sacrificially. Give Him with joy! And He is able to make all grace abound to you, so that you may not lack anything (2 Corinthians 9:8).
Go ahead, try your King!

WARNING! ⚠️ Don’t Fight Losing Battles – 3 Checkpoints

WARNING! ⚠️ Don’t Fight Losing Battles – 3 Checkpoints

As a child of God, life will throw two battles at you. One is where you will have an assured victory because God backs you. And though it may sometimes look hard, God will win it and bring great spoils for you that an entire lifetime will not be sufficient to enjoy that spoil.

And the second one is where the battle was never given to you to win. In fact, it was never meant to be fought by you. You invited it on yourself, and God backs off. This is where you will be plundered and bruised badly.

The devil’s agenda is to drag you into battles that are not meant to be fought by you.

WARNING! ⚠️ Don’t Fight Losing Battles

The first-ever battle that was fought in the Bible is mentioned in the book of Genesis, where four kings fought against five. And the Bible says in Genesis 14:11-12, “Then they (the four kings) took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their provisions, and went their way. They also took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.”

Did you see that? They also took Lot, Abram’s nephew, who went from being a rich free man to now being bruised and dragged like a slave.

So how did this happen? Here are 3 checkpoints to know whether you are fighting losing battles:

 1) When you venture into areas where the Word of God is not going

Don’t enter battles where the Word of God says a definite ‘NO’. For instance, when you know that the Word of God clearly says that light cannot match with darkness, yet you are drawn to relationships with unbelievers, that’s a losing battle!

Lot made the same mistake- he chose to live in a land whose people hated God and didn’t walk in His ways and ended up in trouble.

Every time you move away from the Word of God, you get into losing battles. Lot was blessed because of his proximity to Abraham, a man who was carrying God’s Word. And the moment he decided to distance himself (Gen 13:11), he ended up in a battle he was never meant to fight.

2) When you settle for ‘little’ compromises

The Bible says, “Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent even as far as Sodom.” (Genesis 13:12).

And in the very next chapter, we see that they captured Lot, Abram’s nephew who was living in Sodom at the time (Genesis 14:12). You see how Lot went from pitching his tent near Sodom to actually living there and got dragged into a battle that he wasn’t meant to fight?

You may think that a little bit of compromise is okay. You may say, “Oh, my friends smoke and drink, whereas I don’t”. But you’re still near them. Watch out! It’s only a matter of time before you’ll be dragged in.

3) When you make choices based on your senses

The Bible says that Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plains of Jordan, that it was well watered like the garden of the Lord. (Gen 13:10). While Sodom may have looked like the best option based on one’s natural senses, it was destined for destruction. When you make choices or decisions based on your senses, it may temporarily make you feel that you are on the winning side, but again it’s a losing battle that you are fighting.

So what battles does God want you to fight?

Well, God wants you to fight the good fight of faith(1Timothy 6:12). God wants you to enter battles where you have heard Him and are standing on His Word. And, to fight the good fight of faith, you need to be close to the Word because faith can come only from the Word.

And that’s when you win effortlessly!

Stop Limiting God by Your Thoughts

Stop Limiting God by Your Thoughts

Have you gone through a cycle of negative thoughts that kept you low and made you feel  ? All you could think was negative, and how this may not happen, and how that may not happen. These thoughts paralysed you in your mind and made you feel incapable of doing anything.

If that’s you, stop! Don’t kill yourself with those thoughts!

How you think is how your life will be, and your life will be shaped by your thoughts.

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23

Get up and get ready to change your thought life: from negative thoughts to “God thoughts”.

Limit God

The Word of God says, “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:6-9

God is inviting each one of us to get aligned with His thoughts. Stop thinking so low about yourself. Stop thinking that you are nothing or good for nothing. God never creates a “good for nothing”.

If you feel you are not good at something, surrender it to God and watch how He will make you good at it. God says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness“. 2 Corinthians 12:9

I remember when I was going through certain difficult situations, these negative thoughts would take over my mind. These thoughts imprisoned me and made me think that I do not have a good future.

Your thoughts have the power to limit you and subtly destroy your life if it goes out of control. The enemy uses these moments of uncontrolled negative thoughts even to bring in thoughts of suicide.

It’s about time to change your thoughts to “God thoughts”

Here’s a practical tip to overcome all your negative thoughts- write down every negative thought that has been constantly bothering you. Now cancel those thoughts and ask God for forgiveness for thinking so low about yourself. Then write down the opposite of all the negative thoughts, and find scriptures that align with the Truth.

Example: your thoughts may say, “I am dumb; I am not intelligent like others.”

Pray: Lord, I ask forgiveness for calling myself dumb and comparing. I cancel this negative thought over my life. And I  thank You that I am intelligent and brilliant. I have the wisdom of God. I have the mind of Christ. God is in me and with me; therefore, I have wisdom.

Bible verse: “But we have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:16

With God are wisdom and might; he has counsel and understanding.Job 12:13

Example: “I am not lucky. I have bad luck all the time.”

Pray: Lord, I cancel such words over my life. I don’t believe in luck, but I believe that you have blessed me and given me favour above others.

Bible verse: “For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.”Psalm 5:12

Example: I never get promoted. My boss doesn’t like me and favors others.

Pray: Lord Jesus, I bless my boss, and I thank You for my promotion doesn’t come from any man but from You, Lord.

Bible verse:
Psalm 75:6-7 says, “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one and setteth up another.”

Example: Whatever I do, doesn’t count. I do something, but it doesn’t stand out from the rest, or it goes in vain.

Bible verse:
The LORD will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you.
Deuteronomy 28:8

Pray: I thank You, Lord, that everything I put my hands into will prosper!

What are some negative thoughts that are constantly bothering you? Write to us; we would love to pray for you and send personalised promises of God for those thoughts.

Bringing Prophecies Over Your Life to Pass

Bringing Prophecies Over Your Life to Pass

We all have received certain promises or prophetic words, through a man or woman of God, over us at some point in life. Yet how many of them have come to pass? Pages of our books are getting filled with prophecies over our lives, yet few have come to fulfilment.

Even if no one has prophesied over us, we still have the Word of God, which is full of promises for us. Yet how many of those promises are truly manifesting in our lives?

Not many, isn’t it?

Then there is that statement we often heard over the years, “In God’s time, it will come to pass.” Can I tell you that is not entirely true?

So, how are promises brought to fulfilment?

throwthatfruit

Find Your Instruction

With every promise, there is an instruction attached. Finding the instruction attached to your promise is the way to bring your promises to pass. As you meditate, you will find this principle all over the Word of God.

Now, Israel, hear the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land the Lord, the God of your ancestors, is giving you.Deuteronomy 4:1

Observe therefore all the commands I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to go in and take over the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess, and so that you may live long in the land the Lord swore to your ancestors to give to them and their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey.”Deuteronomy 11:8

“Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”Joshua 1:7-8

If you can find and obey the instructions attached to your promises, you will quickly see your promises come to pass.

What are some prophecies you are waiting to see fulfilled in your life? You will not have to wait for long, but may the Holy Spirit give you understanding on how to bring it to pass.

Doesn’t My Daddy Love Me

Doesn’t My Daddy Love Me

I know of many daughters who remember the unkind words spoken to them by their fathers. As a girl child, you must have always felt that your father favoured the boys in the family and that they got more opportunities than you did. You must have often heard your father say these words, “No, you are just a girl; you can’t do this or that”, for the little desires you may have had as a child.

So you often asked yourself, “Doesn’t my daddy love me?”.

You spent years thinking you are not good enough or that you are the problem in the family. No matter the reason, the pain was real.

If you relate to this, can I show you from the life of the great king David how he must have felt the same way and asked the same question?

My father

Rejected by earthly fathers

David came in connection with three fathers before he became king:

1/ David’s earthly father, Jesse, decided not to take David along when the greatest Prophet of the time, Samuel, invited the family to sacrifice.

And he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.1 Samuel 16:5

When Samuel asks Jesse if he has only seven sons, Jesse says he has one more, but he does not fit the bill.

And Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel. And Samuel said to Jesse, “The Lord has not chosen these.” Then Samuel said to Jesse, “Are all your sons here?” And he said, “There remains yet the youngest, but behold, he is keeping the sheep.”1 Samuel 16:10-11

David’s father, Jesse, did not think his youngest son had anything to offer and favoured his other sons.

2/ King Saul called David his son on many occasions (1 Samuel 26:17, 1 Samuel 26:25). But Saul was jealous of David and hated him so much that he wanted to kill him.
And from that time on Saul kept a jealous eye on David”.1 Samuel 18:9

3/ When David ran away from Saul to the Philistine leader Achish, he was impressed with David and decided to make him his chief guardian. However, Achish only wanted to manipulate David to glorify himself.

And Achish trusted David, thinking, “He has made himself an utter stench to his people Israel; therefore he shall always be my servant.1 Samuel 27:12

David’s earthly father, Jesse, did not think much of him, his father-in-law Saul hated him, and his father-like protection, Achish, manipulated him.

David must have asked, “Doesn’t My Daddy Love Me?”

Knowing who you are and Whose you are

But, David changed the course of his thinking. He called the Almighty God his Father.

You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.”Psalms 89:26

I believe, in his pain and rejection, David encountered the Almighty God, and the same God reveals to him as a Father who loves him unconditionally, considers him worthy, and has good plans for him.

Even if your earthly fathers have rejected you or don’t consider you as worthy as the sons, know that the Almighty God who made the heavens and earth calls you

I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”
2 Corinthians 6:18

As you read this, if you are someone who who has often asked yourself “Doesn’t My Daddy Love Me?”,  I pray you experience the love of the Heavenly Father holding you in His   calling you “My Daughter” – allow these words to go deep in your heart and heal your pain.

I encourage you to wake up every day having this picture in your heart. Look at the mirror and call yourself “Daughter of the Most High God” and soon you will see that the pain you felt once has no hold on you anymore. As you spend more time with your   your heart will forgive your earthly father and sense love, peace and rest.

I pray that each of us will grow in the revelation of what it means to be a daughter of God. With confidence, we can trust in these words – He calls me daughter!

XOXO
