Stop! Are You Compromising Your Destiny For Friends?

Stop! Are You Compromising Your Destiny For Friends?

It is impossible to live a life that is unaffected by other people. Your association/friends can take you closer to your God destiny or far away from it. Their attitudes and opinions, like pollen, blow into our lives, shaping our perspective and influencing our decisions.

The parable of weeds in Matthew 13:24-30 tells us about two types of seed:

1. Children of God (good seed) and

2. Sons of the evil one (weeds).

Both were planted for one reason – to add influence. Many people do no realise the power of influence and therefore they are caught unawares by people who leave their seeds of slander, back biting, gripping, complaining, pride, gossiping, etc. They wake up one day all of a sudden and see their garden with all sorts of weeds that choke the Word of God in their lives.

#Good Company,#Godly Friends,#No Gossip,#DestinyFirst,#Good Character

Don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God (James 4:4).

The Bible also warns, Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.’ (1Corinthians 15:33).

On the other hand, when one godly person’s life sharpens another’s, it’s a good thing (Proverbs 27:17). It yields a harvest of mature fruit over time.

Don’t compromise your destiny for friends

One principle that I have learnt with bad company is that it is progressive. If you are not careful you will be moving down a slippery path that ends in shame, disgrace, worthlessness, loneliness and every evil work. Psalm 1 hints at the three progression stage of association that leads to sin: It first begins with standing (casually listening), then walking (intentional listening) and finally sitting (living) with wickedness.

The Bible says, “He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will suffer harm.” (Proverbs 13:20).

I am not talking about associating with the world alone, but even in terms of believers who claim to walk with God.

Here are some guidelines about who you should stick to, or stay away from:

Stay away from:
1. Fools, or the know-it-alls, who are wise in their own eyes. (Proverbs 1:7)
2. Gossipers, grumblers, drunkards, immoral, boasters, hot tempered men (1 Corinthians 5:11), (Proverbs 22:24,25).
3. Those who cause quarrels and fights, backbiters, unsubmissive to authorities (Romans 16:17)
4. Those who are lovers of the world (James 4:3,4).
5. Those who are lovers of pleasure, rather than lovers of God (2 Timothy 3:1-9)

Stick to:
1. Those who are wise. Not in the ways of the world, but in the knowledge of God’s Word (Proverbs 13:20).
2. Lovers of Jesus, those who boast in Jesus (1 Corinthians 8:3)
3. Visionaries, who have a vision for their lives, who have an action plan and who are pursuing it, who are not mere talkers, but doers. (Proverbs 29:18).
4. Those who are humble, hardworking and who never stop learning. (1 Peter 5:5)
5. Who correct and counsel you according to the Word of God (Proverbs 3:12

I can think of a lot of examples in the Bible and in my life where I see people influenced or rather allowing themselves to be influenced by bad company and I can tell you that it will corrupt the good character (seed) placed in your life. It will always make the journey to your destiny harder, tougher, lengthier and you will also end up hurting many people along the way both family and friends.

So watch out!

Struggling with Menstrual Pain & Disorders? Break Free Now!

Struggling with Menstrual Pain & Disorders? Break Free Now!

Struggling with Menstrual Pain & Disorders?

I remember visiting my native place when I was in my pre-teen years. During this time, my mother and I went to visit a house nearby and as we were about to leave, I heard someone screaming in pain. This was not an ‘ordinary scream’ but almost as if someone was in intense labour pain. I ran in the direction of this cry, only to see a young girl slouching on a cot and weeping and screaming in pain. Later on, I came to know that she was suffering from menstruation cramps.

I didn’t know much about menstruation at that time, but it definitely seemed to be a traumatic experience that I or any other girl could do without.

Praise God, I never had to battle with any menstruation issues, but the reason I am led to share about this topic on our blog is because I sense it will set many of you, who are struggling, free!

Young women don’t talk openly about it, but statistics reveal that up to 80% of women report having some form of menstruation disorders including painful cramps, excessive bleeding, prolonged periods etc.

If you are one of them, I believe God wants to heal you right now!

…. And here’s the key
Your healing is hidden in the confession of your mouth

The Bible says in Job 22:28, You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you.
First things first – While there may be things that you may not like about your period, not everything about it is negative. In fact, every cell and activity in our body is a testimony of God’s perfect work. As the Psalmist proclaims: For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Psalms 139:13-14)

Menstrual cycle is a beautiful way designed by God for the hormones in a woman’s body to remain balanced. Regular periods also provide vital information about the reproductive system, metabolic system, thyroid glands and bone health in one’s body. Medical experts say that when menstruation stops for longer than 90 days in the absence of pregnancy or breastfeeding, a medical evaluation should be taken as a number of health problems can occur.

Wow!

That makes me value my periods, rather than grumble about it. And what I value and appreciate- I don’t feel sad about it, nor do I feel fearful or condemned.

Much of thinking with respect to menstruation is shaped by the media or the stories of women around us. And as you think in your heart, so shall it will be for you (Proverbs 23:7). We need to renew our mind with the Word of God and not think, say and act as the world does.

As opposed to fear, pain, discomfort, inconvenience and ‘cleaning up’ mentality, I encourage you to value and bless your body during the menstrual cycle. Stop complaining or allowing your emotions to rule over you, rather fill your mouth with thanksgiving and praise.

Instead of saying, “I am in my down days” or ” I am bound to feel depressed or emotional during my period”, declare loudly : Body, I bless you. Thank you, for you are working as God has meant you to. I am in my best days. I am happy and blessed!

Say it out loud; say it like you mean it – with all your heart. And even as you do that by faith, you will see it happen in the natural. Your miracle is in your mouth!

Even as I conclude, I want to pray with you..

In the name of Jesus, I command every menstrual disorder to leave your body right now. Pain – You are illegal in this body, which is purchased by the blood of Jesus. I command all the body parts to align and function in order as God intended to be. I cancel every negative word and self-imposed curse declared over your body related to menstruation in the name of Jesus. I thank you Jesus for this healing. In your precious name I pray. Amen.

The Vomit Vision That Stopped Me 🤢

The Vomit Vision That Stopped Me 🤢

Have you ever found yourself repeating the same mistakes over and over, or doing something wrong repeatedly.

Even if you decided in your head you would never do it again and you know it’s wrong but somehow you still end up doing the same.

It could be a bad thought, a wrong act, bad words, an addiction like porn, smoking, etc.

If you feel bad and guilty, recently we shared an article on
3 Truths To Cling To On The Worst Day Of Your Life. Give it a read, but here I will tell you my story of how I overcame.

Vomit Vision,Vision from God,Hearing God

The Vision That Got Me To Stop

When I was in sin, all of me knew that I must not do it. I felt extremely terrible after I had done it and later would go and ask forgiveness from Jesus.

I was bound and it was in an unending cycle. But one day as I was reading the Bible, this scripture stood out to me: Like a dog that returns to his vomit is a fool who repeats his folly (sin/foolishness). (Pro 26:11 ESV)

This Word opened my eyes and had the power to show how wrong my actions were and how misguided my heart was. Now every time I would do the same wrong , I would see a picture of myself like a dog eating my own vomit.

Ewwwe! I know. But this vision made me so fed up that I ran to God and cried out for His help to overcome it.

And God did!

Can’t Do It Alone!

God doesn’t want you to depend on yourself to overcome but depend on Him.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (2 Cor 12:9)

God knows your weaknesses. He will carry you in this journey of overcoming wrong, addiction or bad habit as long as you surrender and lean on Him and say ‘God no more I but you who lives in me.’ (Gal 2:20)

Let go and let God take over you. Let Him have all of you, today!

Read Psalms 101:1-7 and speak it out loudly. Do it over a few days with your heart attentive to every Word and see the Word of God transform you.

Want to Be an Influencer?

Want to Be an Influencer?

Influencer,Christian Influencer,Women Influencer

Everyone in this generation wants to be an influencer. I really love women who aspire for that, there’s nothing wrong – for some it’s their source of income , for some it’s their heart and calling to lead people.

But here I am inviting you to be a next level influencer that will leave a legacy behind so much so that people would want to imitate what you do, even years after you are gone! And above all, heaven will celebrate you!

Yes, you heard it right, imitate ‘what you do’!

Before I can share more on this invitation, let me tell you about one such woman who was a mighty influencer and impacted the villages and cities during her time and is still doing today.

Just then a woman who had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding came up behind him. She touched the fringe of his robe, for she thought, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” Jesus turned around, and when he saw her he said, “Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was healed at that moment.”
Matthew 9:20-22 (Mark 5:25‭-‬34)

Faith > Thoughts of People

At that time when women had bleeding issues they were treated as unclean, and when they were in public, they had to announce their sickness so people would move away. But she (this woman) didn’t care what people thought, she knew if she reached out to Jesus the Saviour, she would be healed and whole even if she just touched the fringe of His garment.

She knew her faith in Jesus was the key!

Faith Actions Multiply

Her story didn’t stop there, her story was heard everywhere because after Jesus left that city the Word of God says And wherever He came, in villages, cities, or countryside, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and implored him that they might touch even the fringe of his garment. And as many as touched it were made well.
Mark 6:56 ESV **

Wow! she influenced the cities, the villages and the countryside by her faith in Jesus and by just touching the fringe of His garment.

Do you know you can be that woman?

I believe you are a woman of faith that not only your faith in Jesus will influence your friends and family but the whole world, and that too for generations to come.

So here’s your chance to be a faith influencer, if there’s a testimony of your faith in Jesus and what He has done in your life , mail us your story at [email protected] or click here and write to us.

3 Truths To Cling To On The Worst Day Of Your Life

3 Truths To Cling To On The Worst Day Of Your Life

Truths to cling to on the worst day of your life

Seems like you had the worst day of your life? Mirror on the wall saying it’s all your fault? Feeling condemned? Guilt taking the better of you?

Well, here are three truths you should cling to:

1. God is not shocked by your sin

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Rom 5:8)

God is still on the throne and when He died on the cross He saw everything you would ever do, yes even the most terrible sin you could ever imagine, He had seen it all but He still chose to die for you because you are His beloved one.
Even if you are the one who strayed

He would still leave the rest to come find you (Luke 15:3–7). He died for your past present and future sins.

2. Faithful to Forgive

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)

There’s so much power in coming to Jesus your High Priest and confessing your sins and asking for His grace to overcome. When you confess, also believe that God has heard you and forgiven you.

Remember He keeps no record of your wrongs, in Jeremiah 31:34, God says, I … will remember [your] sins no more.”

3. His mercy is New every morning!

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness (Lam 3:22-23)

Oh, never forget the above verse for life. No matter how many times you fall, remember God’s mercies never come to an end. Many of us know this scripture in our head but really never believe it. Hope you are not among them.

Before I close, remember your identity in Christ will never change, your position in God will never change.

You are loved beyond your flaws and mistakes.

You are called to overcome the devil by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of His testimony (Rev 12:11)

So rise up warrior! Pick up your armour of righteousness and wear it because God has purchased it for you on the cross. You are washed by the Blood and you are brand new in Christ.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Cor 5:17
